On 19th August at Shepherd’s Bush Empire Muse played an extraordinary gig in aid of The Passage. The evening was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone, the Muse fans were fantastic and they clearly loved the ‘by request’ set list. Mick Clarke, The Passage CEO, went out on stage to talk about The Passage and thank everyone involved; especially Muse and the Shepherds Bush 02 who gave the venue for free.
Due to combination of ticket sales, merchandise sales, the venue waiving their fee and the generosity of Muse £200,000 was raised on the night! Mick Clarke, Passage CEO said “we were bowled over by the generosity of Muse and so many others involved in holding this gig for us; it was great to work with so many people who, like us are passionate about ending homelessness. To have raised £200,000 is amazing and I can’t thank Muse and everyone involved enough.”
It currently costs over £5 million a year to run The Passage, so this contribution is extremely gratefully received and will help us to continue to support vulnerable and homeless people every day.
We want to say a huge thank you to Muse, Shepherd’s Bush Empire and all the wonderful Muse fans who bought tickets to this incredible evening.
