The Faith-based Groups Co-ordination Project is a pan-London project, commissioned by the Greater London Authority, to improve the co-ordination between faith communities, voluntary services and statutory services that address homelessness across the capital.
The project works primarily with soup runs and faith-based and non-commissioned day centres across London. The team is available to provide advice, training and support to any groups interested in addressing the issue of homelessness in London, and are particularly eager to engage with communities in outer London, where there are often more limited homelessness services. It is a priority of this project to build solid working relationships with these groups and help them identify more effective ways of serving people experiencing homelessness.
The Passage is well placed to deliver this project as a faith based provider that has developed its services over the years, maintaining its core ethos while engaging with the changing nature of the complex issues that surround rough sleeping, and is eager to share this experience with other groups.
