Job overview:

We are currently seeking an Enhanced Specialist Resettlement Worker to join our new Housing and Support Service, working in the partnership that delivers Westminster’s Housing Options Service to single people.

The Enhanced Specialist Resettlement Worker will deliver the rapid resettlement of clients with medium to high support needs, particularly with those with mental health and substance misuse, across London and the UK.
They will also provide clients with a practical action plan and personalised support to help them resettle into their home area and are linked in with external agencies.

Job purpose

  • To work in a psychologically informed way with clients with medium and high support needs to deliver thorough needs led assessments and risk management and offer accurate and effective resettlement action plans.
  • To facilitate supported resettlement and advice to clients through case management to accommodation and services that are most appropriate for them, including the Rough Sleeper Pathway, Single Homeless Person’s Pathway, and the private and social housing sectors.
  • To provide advice and support to clients to enable them to improve their health and wellbeing focusing on mental health, physical health and substances.
  • To advise clients of, and assist them to obtain, their welfare, housing and related rights, working with specialist workers within the Partnership and The Passage Resource Centre where necessary.
