35 hours excluding breaks

You will be expected to work a flexible shift system that will involve working between Monday to Sunday 8.00am to 5.15pm on a rota basis

Job overview:

We are currently seeking Senior Dual Diagnosis Practitioner to join our Rough Sleepers Service, to provide dual diagnosis/substance misuse expertise and facilitate a co-ordinated service delivery for people with suspected or co-existing mental health and substance issues. They will also have line management responsibility for 2 mental Health Workers and a Substance Misuse Worker.


The successful candidate should have significant experience of working in a mental health and substance misuse setting as well as knowledge of current mental health, substance misuse and dual diagnosis policy and best practice guidance

Job purpose

  • Provide expertise and support in assessment, care planning and the delivery and evaluation of interventions for clients with co-morbid mental health, physical health and substance misuse issues.
  • To work in a psychologically informed way with clients with medium and high support needs to deliver thorough needs led assessments and risk management and offer accurate and effective interventions
  • To provide high quality assessments with people with suspected co-existing mental health and substance misuse issues.
  • To lead on developing collaborative plans with service users.
