Job overview:

We are seeking 3 dedicated Housing professionals to provide a support service based at our Newman Street Project. This is a newly developed project in which you can assist in the design and delivery of this innovative new service. They will provide personalised support packages to all residents with the project ensuring all work is carried out within our PIE way of working structure

The Specialist Project Worker will have experience of supporting clients within a PIE framework and be passionate about delivering a top quality service for the residents. They will work closely alongside other Resource Centre Teams including our Housing Options Service for Single People based at the Resource Centre.

They will work towards developing effective working relationships with Housing Providers to ensure a quick and effective move on options for the residents whilst at the same time assisting with health initiatives.

Job purpose

  • Carry out in-depth assessment of resident housing and support needs. Based on these assessments, and input from other teams, provide housing advice, risk assessments, accommodation referrals and resettlement support to residents that are temporarily housed at this project.
  • Use knowledge of tenancy rights and responsibilities, support services, the benefits system, training & employment options and independent living skills to support residents in all aspects of resettlement, providing tenancy sustainment solutions that empower residents to take control of their lives
  • Maintain positive and effective working relationships with accommodation providers, including private rented landlords, to ensure a seamless service is provided to residents.
  • Be responsible for developing and implementing a range of group activities including resident forums, life skills education and pre-tenancy workshops.
