Kitchen Support Volunteer (RC) – Lunch – TUESDAYS OR FRIDAYS

As a Kitchen Support Volunteer, you will volunteer as part of a team to help get the kitchen and dining room ready and make sure that lunch is served to our clients. After service ends you’ll need to be part of the washing up and cleaning down effort. After all your hard work, you get to eat lunch too!

Commitment: Your shift starts at 11.30 am and ends at 2.00pm.

As The Passage relies on volunteers for service delivery, we are looking for volunteers who can commit to volunteering once a week.

Assessment Hub Reception Volunteer

Help at our Assessment Hub's reception desk, answering calls, greeting visitors, supporting the duty project worker and engaging and interacting with residents.

Commitment: We only have vacancies for this role on weekends. We are hoping for a weekly or fortnightly commitment to one of the following days and shift times:
w - weekly
fn - fortnightly

Thursday - 8am - 1pm (fn)
Friday - 6pm - 10pm (w) or (fn)
Saturdays - 8am - 1pm (fn) OR 6pm - 10pm (fn)
Sundays - 1pm - 6pm (fn) OR 6pm - 10pm (fn)

Interpreter Volunteer – Romanian

Help our Rough Sleepers Team with vital interpreting skills

Commitment: We are looking for a commitment of 3 hours a week, between 9am - 12pm, ideally on the same morning each week, although there is some flexibility with this. We are asking for an initial commitment of 2 months.

Client Engagement Volunteer – Montfort House

We are seeking volunteers, for both weekday and Sundays, to engage with our clients in meaningful activities and to provide some structure during their time at Montfort House.

Commitment: Any weekday or Sunday - we are seeking volunteers for both.

Shift commitment: - one day a week, fortnight or month.

Home for Good Community Volunteer

Support formerly homeless people to settle into their new communities through the Home for Good project.

Commitment: Meeting for a minimum of one hour every week or two hours per fortnight at a regular time. Minimum commitment of 6 months.

Client Development Volunteer

Support clients on a one-to-one basis to help them create CVs, develop interview techniques, learn basic computer skills and look for employment.

Commitment: We are seeking volunteers who can do any weekday , 9.30am to 3pm OR 9.30am - 12.30pm

Volunteers are required to complete 4 trial shifts as part of the recruitment process.
