Client Laundry and Clothing Store Volunteer

An exciting new role on the front line of our homelessness day services. Client Laundry and Clothing Store Volunteers will receive client laundry, wash and dry the items in our onsite laundry facilities.

Commitment: 7am-3pm one day a week

7.30-11am and 11-3pm shifts also a possibility

Reception Volunteer

Provide excellent front of house reception for The Passage

Commitment: We have vacancies on:

Monday 12.30 - 4.30pm
Tuesday 1.00pm - 4.30pm
Wednesday 8.30am- 4.30pm ( morning, afternoon or all day shifts available)
Thurdays 08.30 - 12.00 noon
Fridays 8.30am- 4.30pm ( morning, afternoon or all day shifts available)

We are hoping for a weekly commitment from our volunteers.

This role is based at our main building on Carlisle Place in Victoria.

Medical Room Appointments Volunteer -Weekday

Assist the health team to provide a smooth service for clients who need medical attention by coordinating clients and the appointments list.

Commitment: We have vacancies on Monday, Tuesday Thursday and Friday for this role
The shift is 9.00am - 1pm

Education, Training and Employment Volunteer

Support clients on a one-to-one basis to help them create CVs, develop interview techniques, learn basic computer skills and look for employment.

Commitment: Mondays or Tuesdays 9.15am to 3pm weekly, with a minimum commitment of six months.

Assessment Hub Reception Volunteer

Help at our Assessment Hub's reception desk, answering calls, greeting visitors, supporting the duty project worker and engaging and interacting with residents.

Commitment: We are hoping for a weekly commitment to one of the following days and shift times
Tuesdays - 6pm -10pm
Thursdays - 8am - 1pm
Fridays - 8am - 1pm OR 1pm - 6pm OR 6pm - 10pm
Saturdays - 8am - 1pm OR 1pm - 6pm OR 6pm - 10pm
Sundays - 8am - 1pm OR 1pm - 6pm OR 6pm - 10pm

Volunteer Minute Taker

Support our front line staff with minute taking at their weekly meetings

Commitment: Three Tuesdays per month from 2.30 - 4pm plus 2-3 hours afterwards to write up the notes.
OR
Every Wednesday between 3pm – 4.30pm plus 2-3 hours afterwards to write up the notes.

Writing up can either be done in the office or from home but needs to completed withing 48 hours of the meeting
