Work on our roof garden is underway!
Adam’s design will transform the roof into an oasis of flowering plants, grasses, fruit trees, herbs and vegetables.
In addition to providing produce for The Passage’s kitchen, the garden will provide a therapeutic space for The Passage’s clients. Spending time in a green refuge from the streets below will take clients out of their homelessness and act as a positive reinforcement in working to leave a life on the streets.
The star plants of the garden will be 8 malus trees, more commonly known as crab apples. Deepdale Nurseries are very generously donating these special trees.
Additional support for the garden is being provided by Spear and Jackson who have kindly donated an ample supply of trowels, weed forks, secateurs and brushes. These tools will enable us to keep the garden thriving.
The Passage is enormously grateful to Adam Frost, Deepdale Nurseries and Spear and Jackson for helping to bring our roof to life. If you are interested in getting involved with the garden or making a donation toward this project, please e-mail our garden volunteer, Gina Wyles at [email protected]
