Prince William first visited The Passage in 1993 with his mother Diana, HRH Princess of Wales.
Princess Diana introduced Prince William to The Passage at the age of 11, passing on her legacy and care for those who experience homelessness. This marks the start of his journey and passion to prevent and end homelessness in the UK.

The Prince of Wales officially announced his Royal Patronage of The Passage in February 2019
In a post shared on Instagram, Prince William noted: “Over the many years that I have visited The Passage, first with my mother when I was just a small boy, I have developed a great affection for you all.
I am always so impressed to see and hear the difference that The Passage makes to the lives of people who are experiencing homelessness. Thank you to everyone for your continuous work. W”
