The Health team consists of a Team Leader, two mental health workers and two substance misuse workers, who engage with an incredibly diverse client group with a wide variety of complex needs.

We also have a Primary Health Care service via the NHS offering nurse and GP surgeries, a podiatrist and mental health counselling. The team aims to provide specialist therapeutic skills, and to be a bridge back into the broader community where appropriate. Like anyone else, homeless people suffer a broad range of illnesses but these are exacerbated by having nowhere to sleep and unlike the rest of us, they usually avoid seeking medical help and are often unwelcome in a doctor’s surgery. The health service at The Passage provides essential care for some of those in society with the greatest health needs.
